Our Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners (NP) are registered nurses who have completed Master’s level clinical education and training, which enables them to blend nursing and medical knowledge to:

• Diagnose and treat medical conditions.
• Order and interpret tests.
• Prescribe medications.
• Refer to specialists.
• Act as the most responsible provider for patient care

NPs work within three streams of practice:

• Family (F) — infants to older adults
•  Adult (A) — adults and older adults
• Pediatrics (P) — infants to adolescents​

NP services are fully covered under the BC Medical Services Plan.
